We get more election results late yesterday.
In the supervisors race in District 2, Dr. Bruce Jones pulls closer to Bruce Gibson, but Gibson still has a lead of 781 votes. That’s out of 18,757 votes cast. Gibson with 52% of the vote. Jones with just under 48%. He’s getting closer.
In the Atascadero school board race, Denise McGrew Kane widens her lead over incumbent Tami Gunther. Kane’s lead is now 439 votes. Four candidates will be elected to the Atascadero school board in that race. The leaders remain, Tracy Ellis-Wite, Vy Pierce, Rebekah Koznek and Denise McGrew Kane. Dan Hathaway closes to within 72 votes of Gunther.
Not much change in the Paso Robles school board race. Adelita Hiteshew leads Laurene McCoy by 209 votes. Jim Cogan leads in Area 1 with 48% of the vote, but if you combine the votes of Chris Arend and Peter Byrne, it adds up to more than 51%. Regardless, the cannabis candidate wins that race. In Area 4, Sondra Williams leads with 44%. But again, if you were combine the votes going to Frank Triggs and Catherine Reimer, it’s greater than 55%. Williams wins with 44%.
In the Templeton school board election, Matt Allison has passed Jennifer Grinager. You may remember, when the elections department stopped counting on Saturday, Grinager had only a seven vote lead over Matt Allison. Now Allison has a 22 vote lead over Grinager. That race still too close to call. Janel Armet remains the top vote getter with 27%.
