A recent survey by Cal Poly’s career services reported yesterday that 9 in 10 Cal Poly graduates are “positively engaged,” with a majority working or attending graduate schools in California.
The graduate status report says that of the students who are positively engaged, 71% are working full time, 4% are working part time, and 14% are attending graduate schools. 9% are still seeking employment, and 2% are engaged in other pursuits such as travel or gap years.
The report also said that the median starting salary of Cal Poly graduates in 2021-22 has increased to 72 thousand dollars, up from 68 thousand dollars last year. Executive director of Cal Poly career services Amie Hammond said the status report “confirms that a Cal Poly degree continues to provide a strong return on investment.”
