The Paso Robles police department released a statement of a possible armed subject yesterday evening.
The department says they were dispatched to the 500 block of Fein street, on the report of a hispanic adult male possibly threatening people inside the house with a handgun. When officers arrived, three females and eight males were evacuated from the residence without incident. An investigation of the interior and exterior of the residence found there was no evidence of a firearm being possessed or used.
After officers took statements from the occupants of the residence, the scene was declared safe for them to re-enter.
The department takes all known threats to the community very seriously.
