Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Rose Parade float for the 2026 Rose Parade in Pasadena is entering its home stretch.
Both teams gathered at the Pomona campus on December 19th to celebrate the near-completion of the float for this year. The 2026 float, “Jungle Jumpstart” depicts the theme of “Magic in Teamwork” by showcasing dynamics between nature and technology.
The float depicts rain-forest denizens coming together to restore a robot friend. The parade float was completely designed and built by students from both campuses, which has been towed to Pasadena for decoration.
Students and volunteers will apply more than 21,000 flowers to cover the float from December 26th through the 31st.
