The city of Paso Robles will begin intersection improvements at two points on Creston road, starting next week.
Beginning Tuesday, September 8th through Friday, September 11th, work at Creston and Golden Hill will demolish and rebuild the existing left turn lane. Work hours are 7 am to 5 pm. Over the course of the project, the intersection will operate as a four-way stop, 24 hours a day, with traffic signals flashing red. The city says drivers may also encounter lane reductions and lane shifts to accommodate construction.
The second point is at Creston road and Scott street, where work is expected to begin September 23rd. The city will modify the existing left turn signal to operate as a flashing yellow arrow, allowing left-turning vehicles to proceed after yielding to oncoming traffic. Work is expected to complete in early October. This will be the first flashing yellow arrow signal in the city.
