The Atascadero city council’s next meeting is tonight at 6.
On tonight’s consent agenda is an item supporting the county alliance bid for ambulance services. The agenda says the county and the seven cities came together to pursue a unified approach to ambulance services in the county. The city of Atascadero is currently responsible for providing all EMS first-responsive and rescue operations in its jurisdictional boundary.
The alliance model, supported by the San Luis Obispo county fire chiefs association, designated the city of Paso Robles as the lead agency, which will combine the strengths of the county’s public agencies in one coordinated system.
The item on tonight’s agenda would support this new system, allowing Atascadero to join with other cities to support the process. You can attend tonight’s meeting in person, or listen right here on KPRL.
