A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning at 10 am for the pickleball court project at Sherwood park.
The project introduces a new picnic and barbecue area, shade structure, restrooms, and expanded parking lot for Sherwood park. The $3.4 million project was funded primarily by the American rescue plan act funds, and development impact fees.
Additional improvements are expected to begin next year, with expanded field capacity and lighting and turf improvements.
