The Central Coast Veterans Memorial museum invites the community to remember and reflect with its new exhibit titled “On 9/11, I Remember…” the exhibit is now open, presenting the events of September 11th and the lasting impact they had on the nation, military, and generations of veterans and their families.
This special exhibit was inspired in part by the powerful reflections shared by retired navy officer John Krause. Visitors to the museum are invited to add their memories of that day to the community reflection journal, creating a collective record of how September 11th was experienced and remembered on the central coast.
9/11 veterans, those who signed up for the military following the attacks, are encouraged to contact the museum about recording their own history as well. Every veteran has a story.
