San Luis Obispo county’s department of agriculture/weights and measures has released the 2025 agricultural report.
The report confirms “another year of resilience and sustained growth for San Luis Obispo county’s diverse farming and ranching economy.” The total agricultural value surpassed $1 billion for the fifth consecutive year, reaching an all-time high this year of over 1.1 billion dollars. The top commodities in value in 2025 were strawberries, wine grapes, cattle and calves, avocados, and broccoli. The top three accounted for more than 53 percent of the county’s total agricultural value. These figures, however, represent gross values only, and do not reflect profits.
The full 2025 crop report is available on the county’s website, as well as historical reports from back to 1928.
