
San Luis Obispo county public health has confirmed the first case of measles on October 7th through laboratory testing.
Public health says they are working with the individuals and their healthcare providers to identify and notify people who may have been exposed. Exposure locations include the family industrial medical center on October 5th and 6th, and Arroyo Grande community hospital’s emergency room on October 7th.
If you or someone you know were at these locations during these dates, you may have been exposed to measles and could develop symptoms 7 to 21 days after exposure. At this time, no additional cases have been identified.
