The Atascadero planning commission will move forward with changes to the native tree regulations.
The city council received a management report last night from staff, as feedback to their meeting in July, requesting some of the regulatory burdens on its current tree ordinance be removed. Changes included not requiring an arborist report and removing fees for trees that die to natural causes.
The item will return to the city council in January after the planning commission fully implements council’s feedback. As this was a management report, no vote was taken.
