Today in San Luis, Caltrans honors those workers who died while working on the state’s roads and highways.
The annual Worker Memorial Ceremony to be held at ten this morning on the front lawn of the district office in San Luis Obispo.
Since 1921, 189 Caltrans employees have been killed on the job. Eight have died in district five alone. That’s why Caltrans promotes the adage, Slow For The Cone Zone.
The ceremony gets underway at ten this morning. The public is welcome to attend.
