The head of the Templeton Area Advisory Group announced his resignation yesterday, even after a chaotic board meeting allowed him to remain by changing the board’s bylaws.
71-year-old David Allen Leader was sentenced for harassing his neighbors, accused of trespassing, vandalism, and making verbal threats. His neighbors had a restraining order against him, and were even present for the Thursday TAAG board meeting. In that meeting, the board voted 5 – 1 to remove one of its bylaws that would prevent a convicted felon from serving on the board, with former chair Murray Powell dissenting.
Leader allegedly announced his resignation in an email to the San Luis Obispo Tribune, effective immediately.
