26M-08188 David Leader NEW Misdemeanor 10082026

Former chair of the Templeton Area Advisory Group, David Allen Leader, has started serving his jail sentence weeks before his official surrender date on October 31st.
Leader plead guilty to one felony count of vandalism and seven misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order back in July, from a prolonged pattern of harassment and repeated violations of a restraining order against his Templeton-area neighbors. He was sentenced to two years of formal felony probation, and 30 days in county jail.
Leader was remanded to the custody of the sheriff’s office after admitting to two probation violations. However, a new misdemeanor complaint was also filed against Leader yesterday, charging two counts of disobeying a court order, violating the restraining orders separate from the order in his original case.
An arraignment date on the new case will be set in department 10.
