The first round of the high school football playoffs Friday night. Templeton and Atascadero eliminated. The Eagles losing to the North Bakersfield Stars 40-22. He says the team grew a lot during this past season. Coach Crow started 14 sophomores Friday night. He thanked his coaching staff for growing the team during the season.
In Santa Maria, Righetti beat Atascadero 28-6. So, the Greyhounds are also eliminated. Ridgeview beat San Luis Obispo 22-14. Arroyo Grande beat Madera 49-21. Nipomo beat Whitney 34-7.
In Division 2, Mission College Prep beat Lemoore 21-12. The Royals will play at Bakersfield high school Friday night. Bakersfield high has 2900 students, Mission Prep 300. That’s the new equity protocol in the play-offs. School size is not a factor, so Mission Prep will be playing much larger schools in the Central Section, and they’ll be playing those games on the road.

Bullard beat St. Joseph 29-28. Western beat Lompoc 42-37. And finally, Alemany beat Bishop Diego 45-14.
In 8-man football, Coast Union beat Calvary Baptist 75-12 up next for the Broncos, Hesperia Christian.
You may remember, Thursday night, Paso Robles beat Tulare 24-21. So, the Bearcats will next play Dinuba.
In college football, Sacramento St. beat Cal Poly 41-9 at Hornet stadium in Sacramento.
In the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals beat the 49ers 31-17.
The New York Giants beat the Las Vegas Raiders 23-16.
The Titans beat the La Rams 28-16.
The Chargers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-24.
The Denver Broncos beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-16.
The Broncos now 5-4, the Cowboys drop to 6-2.
