Fort Hunter Liggett has released its own statements on the Plackett fire, saying they are continuing with inter-agency operations in supporting the U.S. Forest Service and providing personnel, heavy equipment, and a space for a fire base camp.
“There remains no direct danger to the cantonment area or individuals living and working on post,” according to the release. “The installation remains secure and fully operational.” FHL’s safety advisory says that all public roads through the training areas around the area remains closed, and access is strictly prohibited.
