It’s been raining hard since late last night in the north county. The atmospheric river bearing down on us causing rivers to run off on Spring street and Riverside drive in Paso Robles, and standing water in many areas of the north county.

The rain will taper off today and we’ll enjoy mostly sunny skies this afternoon.
Outages have left thousands without power.
According to PG & E’s outage map, areas from Paso Robles to Nipomo have been left without power.
An outage stretching from Santa Margarita to Templeton was affecting 5,200 PG & E customers, the company reported. By 5:15 a.m., power was restored for about 900 customers.
2,300 customers were without power in an area that stretches from lake Nacimiento to Shandon.
Lewis middle school in Paso Robles closed because of a power outage.
