2026 Weed Abatement Press Release
The Templeton Community Services District is reminding residents of the upcoming 2026 weed abatement season.
“Now is the time to begin planning for the removal of weeds around your property,” the CSD says. The CSD advises property owners to start early. Weeds become a fire hazard as the weather turns warm, and “a good rule of thumb would be to have this work finished by the end of April,” the CSD says.
All properties within the CSD boundaries must be cleared of all combustible vegetation, such as dead leaves, brush, and tree limbs by May 1st and maintained through November 30th. Property owners must also remove excess trash, wood, and other combustibles from their property to keep a fire-safe environment.
More information about weed abatement requirements can be found on the Templeton CSD’s website.
