ABOUT 750 TURNED OUT FOR THE PROTEST AT THE DOWNTOWN CITY PARK. THEY HELD SIGNS RAISING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SHUTDOWN. SOME ASKING WHY NURSES ARE OUT OF WORK BECAUSE HOSPITALS ARE CLOSED AND IDLE, WAITING FOR THE SURGE IN CORONA VIRUS WHICH NEVER OCCURRED.

SUPERVISORS JOHN PESCHONG AND DEBBIE ARNOLD ATTENDED. THEY EACH PREVIOUSLY SIGNED A LETTER ASKING THE GOVERNOR TO ALLOW SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY TO REOPEN. PASO ROBLES CITY COUNCILMAN JOHN HAMON WAS AT THE PROTEST, BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN OF MAYOR STEVE MARTIN OR OTHER PASO ROBLES COUNCIL MEMBERS.
