Later today, we’ll get the latest count on the coronavirus cases in San Luis Obispo county. That count determines whether or not our county remains in color purple, the most severe restrictions imposed by the state.
Supervisor John Peschong says a lot of local small businesses are folding in our county. He cited AJ Spurs in Templeton, McClintocks Saloon in Paso Robles and California Pizza Kitchen in San Luis Obispo. But he said he doesn’t understand why in San Francisco county, movie theaters allowed to open, although SLO county and SF county are both purple.
In San Luis Obispo county, county administrative officer Wade Horton and health officer Penny Borenstein are in lock goose step with governor Gavin Newsom. Supervisor John Peschong says he will bring up the movie theater closure issue at tomorrow’s supervisors meeting.
