The Newsom administration’s so-called 30×30 agenda seeks to protect “working landscapes under conservation easements.”
Examples include private grazing lands, ranches and working forests. But some farmland conservation advocates say the ambitious plan largely excludes farmers and ranchers—and the land they steward—from being considered under the program.
