The Paso Robles city council honored two key employees who are retiring this month.
Mayor Steve Martin reading the proclamation for an IT expert who took the city through Y2K and other crises, David McCue was very succinct.
Julie Silva Dahlen was more verbal, as you’d expect from a former librarian. The mayor talked about all the additional services she managed. Former Community Services Director Julie Silva Dahlen went on for several more minutes. If you want to hear the entire speech, it’s on the city’s website: prcity.com.
After the proclamation, Julie retired to the lobby with a contingency of King City friends and then, finally left the library building.
The council continued on for several hours discussing land use issues and other items.
