The city of Atascadero and the Central Coast Zoo announced they will be opening a brand new nature-play area New Year’s Eve.
The play area, Wild Journeys Play Zoo is a nature-based space designed for young children, supporting early healthy childhood development through outdoor play. A ribbon cutting kickoff celebration will be held for this new area at 10 am on Wednesday, December 31st.
Additionally, this day will mark the inaugural “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration at the Central Coast Zoo. Families are invited to the stay for a kid-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration that counts down to noon instead of midnight.
This event is included with general admission on December 31st.
