
San Luis Obispo county students from the Coast Union high school Friday Night Live Chapter have taken steps to reduce underage drinking.
The county Friday Night Live program is part of a statewide collection of chapters, receiving technical assistance from the California Friday Night Live partnership. Over 20 local middle and high school participate in FNL SLO county.
The campaign launched by the FNL chapter is created by youth and for youth, including educational posters, digital graphics, and PSAs with messages that reflect real experiences, concerns, and solutions around underage drinking.
Alcohol, according to the county behavioral health department, is the most used substance by adolescents aged 12 – 17 years.
