A man was arrested on Saturday from a domestic violence incident in Grover Beach.
Officers were notified of the incident that occurred on the 600 block of north 12th street, and made contact with a female victim in a hospital. Officers attempted to arrest the male suspect at his residence at 12th street, but the suspect refused to exit the building. Officers also determined a small child was home inside with the suspect.
For safety reasons, the county regional swat team was activated. The team negotiated with the suspect into a peaceful surrender. The suspect, 34-year-old Lorenzo Zamora Torres, exited the residence with the child, and was taken into custody without incident.
He was booked into the San Luis Obispo county jail for domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, and violation of a restraining order.
