Following a four-day preliminary hearing, judge Jesse Marino of the San Luis Obispo county court has found there is sufficient evidence to hold a former priest to answer to 24 felony counts of molestation of four children.
62-year-old Theodore Edward Gabrielli is accused of molesting four different children, who are all now adults, and the alleged offenses span 1991 through 2010 across six different California counties.
The DA’s office says the judge has determined there is sufficient evidence, or probable cause, for the defendant to stand trial. However, all charges are allegations only. Defendants are legally presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
