A small earthquake rattled Parkfield on Saturday evening, according to the U.S. geological survey report.
The quake struck at about 5:47 pm just northwest of Parkfield, often called ‘the earthquake capital of the world’ due to its positioning over the San Andreas fault.
The depth was recorded at 2.7 miles, and the magnitude at 2.8. It was not widely felt.
