News Release – Sept 28 – Morro Dunes
Cal Fire San Luis Obispo will be conducting a prescribed burn as part of ongoing habitat restoration at the Morro Dunes ecological reserve.
Prescribed burning will consist of piles of cut vegetation, attempting to promote the regeneration of three rare, threatened, and endangered plant species that benefit from fire.
Burns are planned to take place from September 29th through October 1st, and possibly October 6th through the 9th, weather permitting.
