The city of Atascadero announced new projects, funded by measure F-14, has begun across the city.
Roadway segments subject to improvements include Vernado avenue, Colorado road, San Andres avenue, San Ramon road, a segment of El Camino Real, and more. A total of 8 lane miles of critical roadway segments have been identified for work. Measure F-14 is a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2014, and was renewed indefinitely in 2024 as measure l-24. It has funded nearly $27 million in neighborhood roadway improvements throughout Atascadero, according to the city.
To date, these funds have rehabilitated more than 50 center-line miles of neighborhood roads, over a third of the city’s maintained street network.
