The Atascadero city council’s next meeting will be tonight at 6.
Tonight, council will discuss approving the comprehensive zoning code update. Work on the update began in 2024, alongside the adoption of the 2045 general plan. It implements new zoning districts associated with general plan place-types and policy direction. It also streamlines the zoning code for greater readability.
Changes were work-shopped by the planning commission in previous meetings, and the draft code was approved in its October 6th meeting. They have added one minor modification based on public feedback: downtown businesses will be required to operate a minimum of 30 hours per week, up from 20.
You can attend tonight’s meeting at 6 in person, or listen right here on KPRL.
