
The California mid-state fair welcomed 12% more guests in 2026 than it did in 2025.
The fair released its 2026 results late last week, saying it welcomed a total of 433,208 guests, another successful year of celebrating agriculture, competition, youth achievement, and community participation. Attendance for Chumash grandstand arena concerts was up about 26% from last near.
The junior livestock auction generated record-breaking sales, about $4.02 million, with the top 5 buyers spending over $100,000 each. The industrial arts auction total was $203,150 for 59 projects. The miss California mid-state fair pageant crowned queen Gabby Bodenshot and princesses Jodee Jones and Iris Ratzat. Diablo Paso was named winery of the year, Rock 12 distillery of the year, and Sunshine Olive Oil producer of the year.
The fair will return in 2027 July 14th through the 25th.
