
The city of Paso Robles is extending the nomination period for the mayor’s office in the November 2026 election cycle.
The city received notice from mayor John Hamon that he will not be seeking another term; since the incumbent is not filing nomination papers, the deadline for candidates to file for the office of mayor will be extended until Wednesday, August 12th at 5 pm.
Current candidates that have filed for mayor are William Britton, Faith Frankel, and Chris Rogalla. Britton and Frankel have both qualified, Rogalla has not. In district 1, candidates are incumbent Kris Beal, and Linda George. In district 2, candidates are incumbent Chris Bausch, Michael Massey, and Robert Simoni.
The filing period for the two city council offices concluded August 7th.
