
Sonja Shaw, a candidate for the California state superintendent in 2026, will be featured in a local barbecue dinner in Cambria.
Sonja Shaw’s aims to transform California’s schools into “launchpads for dreams,” wishing to “fix a system where only 46.7% of students read at grade level.” Her primary issues listed are protecting girls from boys in their locker rooms and sports, fixing a “failed education system,” and putting family voices first.
The barbecue & wine dinner will be held from 6 to 8 pm this Friday, August 28th. Attendees will be provided the address to the dinner via email prior to the event for security reasons.
