CHP will be entering a statewide maximum enforcement period this weekend.
The MEP will start tonight at 6 pm, and will continue through 5:59 am on Saturday, October 3rd. All uniformed CHP personnel will participate in this maximum enforcement period, focusing on keeping impaired drivers off California roads.
Drivers are asked to call 9-1-1 if they see a suspected impaired driver, and be prepared to provide as much information as possible, including the vehicle’s make, model, license plate number, and direction of travel.
