The county of San Luis Obispo says that the national weather service expects the incoming storm to deliver up to five inches of rain Saturday afternoon through Tuesday.
The county office of emergency services is monitoring the storm with local and state partners, and ensuring jurisdictions and emergency alerts are prepared. Emergency services manager Scott Jalbert encourages residents to prepare now before the storm hits.
Residents should avoid creeks, rivers, streams, and low-lying areas during the storm.
