A Morro Bay teacher put on administrative leave after an incident at Los Osos middle school.
David Kelley is accused of threatening to snap the neck of a student after breaking up an altercation between that student and his own daughter, who also attends the school.
Tony Cipolla of the sheriff’s department says it’s a school issue. The sheriff’s deputies did not find any criminal intent.
Kelley is not a stranger to controversy as a teacher and coach. He resigned as football coach at San Luis Obispo high school in 2013 after players disagreed with his play calling. He was fired as football coach in Morro Bay for using inappropriate language in the locker room.
He still teaches at Morro Bay high school. No indication why he was at Los Osos middle school on October 12th unless it was to pick up his daughter.
