29-year-old Kejuan Bynum of Shandon found guilty late Friday afternoon of second degree murder, in the fatal stabbing of a Paso Robles man.
The jury returned its verdict around 3 Friday afternoon after a month-long trial in San Luis Obispo superior court. Bynum found guilty of killing Cristopher Vento Wilson. The jurors decided that Bynum was not guilty of first-degree murder.
District attorney Dan Dow said after the verdict was read. We thank the jury for their focused consideration in hearing this emotional case. We hope this verdict brings some degree of solace to Cristopher’s family, friends and the community so affected by this senseless act of violence.
The murder occurred at a house party on June first, 2019 in Shandon.
During the trial deputy district attonrey Delaney Henretty argued that Bynums actions were deliberate and pre-mediated.
