Fort Hunter Liggett has released an update regarding the Plaskett fire.
As of yesterday evening, the fire is at 29,000 acres, and 79% containment, according to Cal Fire. FHL says there is no imminent threat currently from the fire to the cantonment area, or to personnel, residents, and families living or working on the installation.
Fourteen remote training areas have been downgraded to “unaffected” status, while two training areas have been downgraded from “evacuation” to “warning.” FHL hunting and fishing remains closed until further notice.
