PG&E has announced that it will once more need to raise its rates.
As the California public utilities commission voted to permit the power plant to continue its operations until 2030, PG&E says it will need to use the rate hike to continue funding the Diablo Canyon employee retention program, which aims to keep its personnel until the end of 2030.
This is the third rate hike for PG&E in less than two years.
