PG&E responded to a gas leak on Meadowlark road Friday morning at about 10:30 am.
The leak was east of airport road, and 24 homes on Winding Brook road needed to be evacuated due to the rupture. The evacuation zone was a 500-foot radius, and did not affect the Virginia Peterson elementary school about a mile away.
PG&E mitigated the gas leak after about 3 hours of work, and lifted the evacuation orders for 24 homes on Winding Brook road.
