The Paso Robles Area Groundwater Authority’s next regular meeting will be this afternoon at 4 pm at the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy.
Action items on this meeting’s agenda pertain to the groundwater sustainability fees to be placed on the tax roll. One item continues reviewing appeals regarding the landowner fees, which are disputes in the calculated amount of groundwater consumption. The other two items formally adopt the schedule of groundwater sustainability fees, and a request for the county of San Luis Obispo to collect the fees through the secured property tax roll. The fee was calculated to be $22.90 per acre-foot of consumptive groundwater use.
