08.17.26 PRJUSD Celebrates New Elementary Playgrounds and Expanded Learning Classrooms
The Paso Robles joint unified school district will celebrate the opening of new facilities at pat butler and Kermit King elementary schools this week with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
The opening of classrooms and a playground at Kermit King will be commemorated on Thursday, August 20th at 2:30 pm. Pat Butler’s opening of a new playground, classrooms, and garden will be celebrated Friday, August 21st at 2:30 pm. The district says these new ADA-accessible playgrounds feature Sofit, resilient surfacing and equipment designed to create welcoming spaces where students of varying abilities can play, explore, and connect.
The new portable classrooms are already providing a dedicated space for the district’s expanded learning opportunities program. Each campus now has more than double the capacity for the program thanks to the new classrooms.
