
According to a new study released by the county’s agriculture commissioner/sealer, Martin Settevendemie, the county’s agricultural and livestock sectors generated $3.4 billion in economic activity in 2024.
The study found that agricultural activity injects $9.3 million into the county’s economy every day. This report reflects a 34.3% increase from the 2019 economic report. Agriculture employment totaled over 19,000 positions; about 12,000 were tied to agricultural production and processing. Adjusting for inflation agricultural production value has grown 22.5% over the last decade in San Luis Obispo county.
