Three non-profits file a petition to close the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. The groups filing paper work with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission include Mothers for Peace, Friends of the Earth and The Environmental Working Group. They say allowing Diablo to continue operations would be improper for the NRC.

The California Highway Patrol identifies the Paso Robles man who died after his truck crashed on highway 46 near Tooth and Nail Winery on Tuesday afternoon. A Paso Robles woman arrested on drug charges Monday. Police found 25 grams of fentanyl, and 26 grams of methamphetamine during a probation search of a home near the 1200 block of Stoney Creek road.
