The California Men’s Colony is on a list of five California prisons which may close in the next few years because of again, and the need for improvement.
Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy, and the California Correctional Center in Susanville are slated to close.
By the year 2025, five prisons may close. The Men’s Colony is one of those five prisons.
