Early Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian incident on the US 101 near Santa Margarita.
After midnight, CHP says a man exited a passenger vehicle and attempted to run across the southbound lanes, when a vehicle hit and killed him.
The man’s name is not being released yet, pending notification of next of kin.
No further information is available at this time.
