Northbound traffic on the US 101 slowed down significantly yesterday afternoon, just north of the Cuesta grade after an oak tree fell into lanes of the highway.
CHP says the tree fell at about 1:41 pm, and blocked the no. 1 lane and some of the no. 2 lane. Smaller vehicles were able to pass the tree using the no. 1 lane, but larger vehicles were unable to pass.
Traffic cleared later that afternoon as the tree was removed.
