News Release – AUG30 – Morro Dunes
Cal Fire has scheduled a series of prescribed burns, in partnership with numerous agencies, at the Morro Dunes ecological reserve this week.
The burning is planned to start today, and end Sunday, September 6th, weather permitting.
The operation is designed to promote regeneration of three rare, threatened, and endangered plant species that benefit from fire, and reduce the accumulation of flammable vegetation.
