The Plaskett fire continues its growth, reaching nearly 29,000 acres as of yesterday evening.
Cal Fire says it “remains active in steep, rugged terrain with heavy fuels and limited access, with significant growth continuing along the eastern portion… into Fort Hunter Liggett.” Crews continue strengthening control features along the northern perimeter, while suppression efforts also continue along the southern portion of the incident.
Cooler temperatures and higher humidity are expected to provide more favorable conditions going forward.
