County public works will be closing a bridge on north River road later this month.
The bridge is located 2.4 miles north of the intersection of north River road and River Oaks drive. During working hours, vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist access will not be allowed. Work will be done from 9 am to 5 pm, October 27th to the 29th. Public works will replace the damaged timber component on the bridge to prevent worsening conditions and emergency closures.
County staff acknowledges this may pose an inconvenience, but it is necessary to make the bridge safer and stronger for drivers and emergency vehicles.
